Laura

One day I was doing a series of running intervals and someone said “think of a person whose respect you desire and imagine she is watching you run this next interval.”  The first person that came to my mind was Christy Scott, and I put everything I had into that next interval!  Christy coached me to the finish line of my first 100 mile endurance run.  She eviscerated any doubts I had in myself about achieving this goal by providing me reasonable running and strength workouts, which built the foundations for both fitness and mental fortitude and got me to the starting line injury-free and doubt-free.  She coaches, but she also leads by example.  Once you meet her or train with her, you’ll understand what I’m talking about

I first meet Christy back in 2011 at a local running event. I was always amazed at her strength, both mental and physical. About six years later I wanted a change, I needed change. I had been suffering from some overuse injuries and could not seem to make any improvements. Being active is very important to me. I have family history with heart disease and I do not want to suffer.

So in the spring of 2017 I finally decided enough was enough, and I reached out to Christy at Fitness on the Move. Three years later, I’m still a client of hers and I continue to improve. Christy quickly noticed my weaknesses focused on strengthen those areas. Because of this, I can run mostly pain free. I need to stretch before and after my runs, which I’m not so good at sometimes. :)

Christy got me hooked obstacle course racing. It combines the two things I like to do, run and lift heavy things. I still have a lot of things to work on with some of the obstacles, but that will come with practice and time.

If you are looking for a coach/trainer that will pay attention to you and your needs, Christy at Fitness on the Move is who you are searching for. I owe her so much that words cannot describe how much my body has changed and feels.
